The variety «Anna» was selected by specialists at the Research Institute of Horticulture and Floriculture in Skierniewice as breeding material intended exclusively for use as a rootstock for stone fruits.

This variety belongs to the species Prunus cerasifera Ehrh. var. divaricata. There is no information regarding its use as a fruit variety for obtaining a harvest with dessert or commercial qualities, as this is not the purpose of its application.
