The tree is weakly to moderately vigorous, with a compact, rather narrow crown. The fruits are of medium size, about 40 g, oblong in shape. The skin is dark blue or purple-blue, covered with a pronounced waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow or greenish-yellow, firm, juicy, and the stone separates well from the flesh.

The variety is early-maturing, with fruits ripening in July. It possesses good winter hardiness down to -30°C; however, during early flowering, it may be damaged by spring frosts. It is resistant to Monilinia and spotting, and is characterized by variable resistance to the plum pox virus.
