Variety description

10 August 2026

The Costin tree has medium vigor and an upright crown. It blooms with rose-type flowers with pink petals. The variety is self-fertile and does not require additional pollinators.

Fruits are oval-shaped with a characteristic mucron, weighing 80–95 g; when thinning the ovaries, the weight increases to 110–120 g. The skin is smooth, yellow with an intense red blush. The yellow flesh is juicy, without fibers or veins, and has a sweet-and-sour taste.

The pit is elliptical in shape, medium-sized, and semi-freestone. The variety is resistant to low temperatures but requires protection against diseases. Intended for fresh consumption.
