The tree reaches a height of 3.7–4.6 meters; there are forms for container cultivation about 1.5 m tall. The variety is self-fertile and possesses winter hardiness corresponding to USDA zones 4–5. The crop matures in mid-to-late summer.
Fruits are covered with smooth dark red skin. The flesh is predominantly white, sometimes with reddish veins; a yellow-fleshed variety also exists. The stone does not separate completely from the flesh. Data on resistance to peach leaf curl is contradictory.
