Agostina is part of the autochthonous Pescabivona population grown in the Magazzolo river basin in Sicily. These peaches are not the product of modern breeding, but have formed as an ecotype adapted to local conditions, ripening in the intermediate period of the general harvest season of the Pescabivona group.
The fruits have white, firm non-melting flesh that retains its structure and does not soften during ripening. Taste qualities are characterized by a high content of sugars and acids, as well as an intense aroma. Externally, the peaches have a spherical shape, and their skin combines a white-yellow-green background with a red blush covering less than half of the surface.
