The tree is of medium size, reaching 3–4 meters in height and width. The fruits are large, round in shape, and characterized by a deep golden-yellow skin color. The flesh is bright yellow, firm, and juicy. By fruit type, the variety belongs to clingstone peaches, in which the pit is firmly attached to the flesh.
The variety matures in late summer and is self-fertile, requiring no external pollinators. The tree is characterized by reliability, high yield, and good adaptation to a temperate climate. Cultivation requires a sunny location, good drainage, and regular pruning.
Due to their firm texture, the fruits are considered optimal for canning, preparing compotes, and baking, but they are also suitable for fresh consumption. In New Zealand, this variety has historically been used as a rootstock for other types of peach.
