The variety is a hybrid obtained from crossing Sunhigh and Redskin varieties. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and blooms with large ornamental flowers. The variety is self-fertile and does not require cross-pollination.
The medium-sized fruits have yellow flesh from which the pit separates easily. The skin color is dark red over a yellow background. Ripening occurs in mid-August.
The plant possesses resistance to bacterial spot exceeding that of the Redhaven variety. The frost resistance of flower buds is at the level of the Redhaven variety. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and culinary preparations.
