In some Italian nurseries, a variety with medium to large fruits is found under this name. The skin is characterized by a red color with green stripes, the flesh is white. The ripening period falls in August.
The name K2 is also used in scientific publications as a technical designation when studying genetic markers or peach groups within experiments. In general practice, the name often causes confusion due to the use of similar indices for other agricultural crops.
