The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 3.35–4.5 m. The variety is characterized as self-fertile, with high productivity and regular bearing. Winter hardiness corresponds to the conditions of Central California.
The fruits are large, round or slightly flattened in shape, with firm yellow clingstone-type flesh, from which the pit separates poorly. The fruit skin is predominantly red in color. The taste is sweet and sour.
The variety is classified as early-maturing; depending on the climatic zone, the fruits ripen in late May or mid-to-late July.
