The pomegranate variety Chornomors`kyi is intended for fruit production. Yield during the period of full fruiting reaches 11 tonnes per hectare.

The plant possesses high resistance to arid conditions and heat. In regions with moderate winters, such as Crimea, cultivation of the variety may require mandatory covering of trees for the winter.
