Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is intended for controlling potato corky ringspot disease transmitted by nematodes of the genus Trichodorus, by interrupting the transmission cycle of tobacco rattle virus. The plant is used for humus formation, soil protection against erosion, prevention of nitrogen leaching, and weed suppression due to intensive initial growth.

The taproot system penetrates the soil to a depth of up to 180 cm, providing intensive de-compaction. The variety has a restrained tendency to flower, good drought tolerance, and medium cold and frost hardiness.

The seeding rate is 18–25 kg/ha with a seeding depth of 2–3 cm. Recommended sowing dates fall within the period from mid-July to mid-August. The variety is an effective precursor for potatoes and is also suitable for crop rotations with cereals, corn, and legumes.
