The variety Sirella is a diploid form of oilseed radish. For agronomic purposes, the crop is used as fodder and an intermediate plant, where the decomposition of plant mass releases isothiocyanates, which contribute to the suppression of pests and pathogens in the soil.

In variety lists, the variety is classified as susceptible to beet cyst nematode. In current documents, the name Smart Sirella KWS is encountered, which may indicate an updated breeding form, with medium-early maturity dates noted for the variety.
