The Fantasia Ranna variety belongs to the species Rhododendron simsii Planch. The plant has a compact, upright bush form with entire lanceolate leaves.

The flowers are funnel-shaped, colored red. The plant is intended for pot cultivation in protected ground conditions, where flowering is observed from August to April. It develops best when placed in lit or semi-shaded locations.
