The plant has a compact habit, reaching a height of 30–40 cm. The leaves are dark green and maintain their decorative appearance throughout the year. The flowers are 3–5 cm in diameter and possess a dark purple-red color with characteristic spots in the throat; their buds resemble a "shaggy little rose."
Flowering of the variety typically occurs in the period from January to May, depending on growing conditions. The plant is demanding of soft water, a temperature range of 15–22 °C, and bright diffused lighting. With proper care, flowering can last up to 6 weeks.
