Variety description

The plant is distinguished by its compact size, reaching 30 cm in height and 60 cm in width by the age of ten. The leaves are oval-shaped, with a dark green upper side and a light green underside, turning reddish-brown tones in the autumn.
The flowers are simple, 5-petaled, 3.8–5.0 cm in diameter, colored purple with a dark red-violet pattern, scentless. There are usually 2–3 flowers collected in inflorescences.
Flowering occurs in the period from late April to mid-May. The variety is intended for ornamental gardening, well-suited for rock gardens and group plantings, and prefers partial shade.
