The variety was obtained in 1990 by crossing the Varmas and Dotška varieties. The berries are characterized by high taste quality, which allows them to be used fresh and for processing.
The plant has stable yields and good winter hardiness in Estonian climatic conditions. During the studies, no infestation by the blackcurrant bud mite or American powdery mildew was detected, and low susceptibility to anthracnose was also noted.
