The variety was bred by crossing the varieties «Kriviai» and «Saniuta». Its pedigree combines traits of several currant species, including Ribes sibiricum, which ensured the presence of a dominant gene for resistance to blackcurrant bud mite.
The plant forms medium-height bushes and belongs to the early maturity group. The berries have an average weight of about 1.4 g. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness, low susceptibility to fungal diseases, and a yield of about 4.1 t/ha.
