The Weiße von Jüterbog variety is an old German variety, known since 1890. Despite the name, which indicates a white color, it is botanically classified as a redcurrant.
The plant has a moderate, sufficiently broad growth habit. Due to late flowering, the variety is less vulnerable to spring frosts, which allows it to be cultivated in cold climates.
The fruits of this variety are distinguished by their large size and possess a delicate, slightly sour taste.
