The bush is vigorous, broad-spreading, of medium density, with strong sharp thorns. Leaves are large, light green in color. Berries are medium-sized, oval-shaped, with smooth green-yellow skin and prominent veins.
The fruits have a sweet-and-sour taste without a pronounced aroma. If harvested before reaching full over-ripeness, the berries withstand transport and storage satisfactorily. The variety is intended for amateur gardening.
In scientific literature, the variety is known as the subject on which gooseberry mosaic virus was first described in Poland. In modern sources, it is often confused with modern thornless varieties of the 'Lady' group.
