The plant is vigorous, forming numerous shoots from the base; the shoots are equipped with long and powerful thorns. The variety belongs to the late-maturing category and is currently more often found in collections due to its susceptibility to powdery mildew.
The berries are large or very large, varying in shape from irregularly elliptical to oblong, pear-shaped or cylindrical. The skin color is light red, darkening to dark red at full ripeness; the skin is firm, with slight pubescence, and the flesh is yellowish. The taste is aromatic, sweet and sour.
The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for culinary processing into jams, preserves, and compotes.
