The variety is a descendant of the Jonkheer van Tets variety. The plant forms a vigorous bush up to 1.5 m in height with a dense, upright crown. Late flowering allows the variety to successfully withstand recurring spring frosts.
The berries have a round or round-ovoid shape, firm texture, and bittersweet taste. Long strigs facilitate harvesting. The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spot, and also demonstrates drought tolerance.
The variety has a universal purpose, including fresh consumption and various processing methods, and is often used in ornamental gardening. Despite being self-fertile, cross-pollination is recommended by planting several bushes to obtain maximum yield.
