The shrub is spreading, dense, reaching a height and width of 0.9 to 1.2 m. The foliage is dark green, glossy, with pronounced rugosity. Flowers 5–7 cm in diameter have a cup-shaped form, pure white color, prominent yellow stamens, and a strong fragrance.

The variety is repeat-flowering, blooming from early summer to autumn. In autumn, red ornamental hips form on the bushes. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, tolerates poor soils and salinity well, and is capable of self-cleaning of spent petals.

The variety is used in landscape design for creating group plantings and hedges. In international classification it is known as Schnee-Eule, also found under the commercial name White Pavement, while Uhlensch is its breeding code.
