The plant is a subshrub 1–2 meters in height with canes that are almost thornless and have only small soft prickles. The parent forms of the variety are Qualicum and Glen Ample.
The berries of the variety are distinguished by high firmness and keeping quality. The variety belongs to climate zone H4–5 and demonstrates increased sugar content and improved fruit firmness compared to the Glen Ample variety. Breeding for resistance to root rot is underway.
