The variety was obtained at the Institute of Horticulture in Dobele as a result of a program aimed at creating plants adapted to local climatic conditions and resistant to winter thaws. Large-fruit donors with the L1 gene were used in the breeding.
The berries of the variety are characterized by a light red color and a broad-conical shape. The yield of the variety is estimated as high, with harvest indicators per bush reaching 1.2 kg. The fruits contain about 245 mg/100 g of total phenolic compounds.
