The Malling Leo variety belongs to summer raspberry types with a very late fruiting period occurring in late July — August. The plant forms tall bushes with strong growth and high shoot development vigor.

The berries have a large size, firm structure, and a rich orange-red color. The fruits are distinguished by pleasant taste and aroma, tolerate transport well, and are suitable for freezing. The variety shows resistance to Botrytis cinerea and aphids, however, it may be susceptible to Raspberry bushy dwarf virus.

The variety is suitable for cultivation in amateur gardens and commercial plantations, allowing for a significant extension of the fresh produce harvesting season.
