ActiveRubus idaeus L. · Red raspberry
Vinson Peter Edward
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the species Rubus idaeus and is a historical cultivar that was widely used in breeding programs in the past. The variety's genes are present in many modern varieties; in particular, it was used as a parent form in the breeding of the Preussen variety.
Historical data characterize the variety as vigorous and strong-growing. At one time, the fruits were valued for their size and quality, however, under modern conditions, the variety has been displaced by more productive and resistant forms and is practically not used in current production.
