Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety Tambar was introduced as part of Norwegian breeding programs focused on improving the market quality of berries. It is included in genetic resource lists and recommended for commercial cultivation based on trial results in Western Norway.

The plant possesses field resistance to a number of common diseases, including gray mold Botrytis cinerea, cane blight, and root rots. The fruits of the variety are valued for their high market quality, which makes it suitable for sale in fresh form.
