The plant is of the trailing type (dewberry) with long and flexible canes that are thornless and require mandatory trellising. Fruiting occurs on previous year's canes, with crop ripening occurring at an early stage.
Berries are black, glossy, firm in consistency, with an average weight of about 7.6 g. Flavor characteristics are described as dessert-like, sweet, with a distinct acidity and rich aroma. The produce has good transportability and is suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and processing.
The variety is high-yielding and has low susceptibility to sunscald of the fruit. Frost resistance is limited to temperatures down to -14°C, therefore winter covering is required in cold climates.
