The variety was obtained by crossing parent forms BD467.1 and XX537.1. The plant forms a large number of replacement canes and root suckers. There are many branches on dormant canes, and spines are present on fruiting laterals. Leaves are palmate.

The plant has the ability to fruit on current-year canes. Berries have a high length-to-width ratio and are characterized by a distinct flavor and a size meeting fresh market standards.
