The plant forms canes 1.8 to 2.5 meters in length, which require mandatory tying to trellises due to their trailing growth habit. The canes are predominantly covered with thorns, although thornless varieties also exist.

The berries reach a weight of 7–10 grams with a length of up to 5 centimeters. The variety is characterized by an early-to-mid maturity group and high resistance to diseases and pests. Due to their soft consistency, the fruits tolerate transportation poorly and are unsuitable for mechanical harvesting.

The crop is relatively winter hardy, withstanding temperature drops down to -18…-26°C, however, in severe climatic conditions, it requires covering for the winter. Taybes is grown mainly for amateur gardening; the berries are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and culinary processing.
