The variety is a thornless mutation of the Sleeping Beauty blackberry. Genetically, it is a complex hybrid of the subgenus Rubus, including traits of the species R. allegheniensis, R. trivialis, R. argutus and R. ulmifolius.
The plant is characterized by a semi-erect habit and thornless canes. The variety is early-maturing: the harvest on second-year canes ripens from mid-May to mid-August.
The fruits are large in size and have good transportability indicators. Due to the low chilling requirement, the variety is intended for commercial cultivation in regions with mild climates and is oriented toward the fresh market.
