The bush is vigorous, of trailing or semi-trailing type with shoots 2 to 6 meters long that require support. A characteristic feature is the serrated dark green leaves that remain green during the winter. The variety is thornless, however, it may produce thorny shoots if the root system is damaged.

The variety is late-ripening; fruiting occurs from August to September. Fruits are round-conical in shape, black with a glossy sheen, weighing 3.5–8 g. The berries are firm, suitable for transportation, and possess a flavor ranging from sweet-and-sour to tart.

The plant has high winter hardiness and resistance to fungal diseases. The variety is universal in application; it is used as a dessert fruit and for processing, as well as decoratively for adorning arches and hedges.
