The variety is the first thornless type of blackberry created under the North Carolina State University breeding program. The plant forms second-year canes on which fruiting occurs.
The berries have an average weight of about 6.6 g, are distinguished by pronounced sweetness, low acid content, and small seeds. The variety demonstrates high stable yield and suitability for transportation and long-term storage.
The fruiting period falls between the end of June and the beginning of August. The plant is suitable for both commercial use on industrial plantations and for private gardening.
