ActiveRubus L. · Blackberry

The variety is a primocane-fruiting blackberry with a vigorous, compact, erect bush of the erect blackberry type, the canes of which reach a height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters. The plant produces large white flowers; the canes have thorns, which may fall off the fruiting spurs after the berries ripen.
Fruiting occurs on current-year canes from late August until frost; it is also possible to obtain a harvest on previous-year canes during the summer period. The berries have a black color, a shiny surface, and a round-conical shape, and are characterized by high transportability and a sweet taste.
The variety possesses high resistance to diseases and pests, as well as good drought tolerance. Due to the limited winter hardiness of the canes in temperate climates, it is often cultivated as an annual plant with complete mowing of the above-ground part after the end of the season.
