The variety is a dwarf plant 20–25 cm in height, forming compact clumps. The inflorescences of the variety ALKLF (trade name Blue Bouquetta) are in the form of dense spike-like racemes of a deep blue-purple color.

The plant is a rebloomer; the flowering period lasts from June to September, provided that faded inflorescences are removed. The variety is winter-hardy (USDA zone 4b), prefers full sun and well-drained soils.

In landscape design, it is used for borders, container cultivation, on balconies and terraces, and is also suitable for cutting.
