The variety forms dense clumps 25–35 cm in height. The leaves are medium green, broad-lanceolate, wrinkled, with slight pubescence. Upright stems bear spike-shaped inflorescences of a deep blue-violet color.
Flowering begins in mid-April and lasts about 6 weeks; a sporadic second wave is possible if spent inflorescences are removed. The plant is photophilous, drought-tolerant, tolerates heat and humidity well, and is adapted for cultivation in USDA hardiness zones from 4 (down to -34°C). Prefers well-drained soils.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
