Variety description

The plant forms a neat bush 40–50 cm in height and 50–70 cm in width. The oval wrinkled leaves are fragrant and range in color from dark green to a grey-green shade.
Flowering begins in late spring or early summer. The inflorescences are upright spikes. The variety is winter hardy, drought tolerant once established, and possesses strong stems resistant to lodging.
Prefers well-drained soils and sunny or partial shade areas. Used in borders and container plantings; it is a honey plant that attracts bees and butterflies.
