Variety description

The plant is a compact, densely branched subshrub or perennial with a height of 50 to 80 cm. Leaves are ovate, dark green, semi-evergreen or evergreen, and possess a characteristic aroma.

Flowering continues from May until the first frosts; flowers are gathered in upright racemes. The plant prefers sunny sites with well-drained soils, including calcareous ones, and attracts bees and butterflies.

The variety has limited winter hardiness and withstands temperatures down to -7°C, therefore requiring protection in conditions of severe frost. It is used primarily in ornamental gardening for the design of flower beds, borders, and cultivation in containers.
