Variety description

The plant forms a compact vertical shape from 80 to 120 cm in height. It is characterized by thicker leaf blades and increased stem rigidity compared to the original species. The foliage is glaucous-blue-green in summer with a purple base, and in autumn it turns into shades of purple, red, orange, and yellow.
Flowering occurs from late summer through autumn with silvery panicles. The plant belongs to warm-season grasses, is undemanding, tolerates heat, humidity, and poor dry soils well, and is resistant to deer and rabbit grazing. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 3–10; it retains its decorative appearance during the winter period.
