The plant has a large, upright habit, although with age, the stems may droop under the weight of the flowers, forming a cascade. The plant segments are medium-sized, with characteristic teeth along the edges.
The flowers are large, cherry-red with crimson iridescence at the petal edges and a white throat; the base of the petals is silvery-white, and the shape is reflexed. The flowering period occurs between November and February.
