The Konto variety belongs to winter rye and is classified in literature as a hybrid form (F1). In the professional scientific community, it is known as a research subject, having been used specifically in the study of genetic variability of the crop and the analysis of resistance to leaf rust. In the course of this work, the variety was characterized as susceptible to certain populations of this pathogen.
At present, detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety, such as plant height, maturity group, or yield indicators, are absent from open reference sources.
