The variety was obtained by crossing the Latvian variety Stende with Petkusa īsie and Sangaste forms. It has a shorter stem length compared to the original Stende variety, which increases its lodging resistance. The winter hardiness of the variety is rated as good.
Under organic farming conditions, the average grain yield is about 2.0 t/ha. The grain is suitable for food purposes, the volumetric weight index is 70.3 kg/hl, and the falling number is about 160 s.
