The tomato hybrid Astona F1 is an object of agrotechnical research, particularly in the study of plant response to NaCl exposure. The plant demonstrates growth indicators and dry mass accumulation under soil salinity, as well as water-use efficiency.

Under stress caused by salinity, the fruits of this hybrid show changes in protein, fiber, and carbohydrate content. The variety is considered potentially high-yielding for greenhouse cultivation, however, detailed morphological characteristics and data on resistance to specific diseases are absent in open publications.
