The variety was bred at the Institute of Horticulture in Babtai, Lithuania. Genetic studies indicate the variety originates from Jurgiai or a cross between Ryčiai and breeding line № 1154/77.

The variety is included in the Lithuanian genetic bank of vegetable crops. In scientific publications, it is examined in the context of analyzing the biochemical composition of the fruit, including levels of lycopene, beta-carotene, and ascorbic acid, as well as the evaluation of texture and color.

During studies of the variety, its susceptibility to Potato X potexvirus was recorded. Detailed characteristics regarding maturity, plant height, and disease resistance are absent in the publications.
