The variety is a rare heirloom type originating from the Lake Bolsena region in Italy and belongs to local landraces. The plant is of the indeterminate type, reaching a height of 1.4–1.6 m, characterized by hardiness, a long fruiting period, and good keeping quality of the fruits.

The fruits have an elongated shape and bright red color. Due to their meaty texture and high dry matter content, they are optimal for making sauces and pastes. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field and film greenhouses.
