The variety was obtained in 1944 as a result of crossing the Stokesdale and Allred varieties. The plant requires support, reaches a height of 1–1.5 meters, although data on the growth type (determinate or indeterminate) varies. The ripening period is approximately 70 days.

Fruits are red in color, round or slightly flattened in shape, with a weight of 100–200 g. The taste is characterized as balanced, combining sweetness and acidity. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and making sauces.
