The traditional variety Pomodoro di Sorrento is an indeterminate plant. Its fruits are large, weighing from 250 to 800 g, round and ribbed in shape, coral-pink in color, often with green shoulders. The flesh is dense and meaty with a low seed and liquid content, the taste is sweet with low acidity.

Modern Sorento F1 hybrids are indeterminate plants intended for cultivation in greenhouses and film shelters. These hybrids possess high transportability, resistance to fruit cracking, and complex resistance to major tomato diseases.
