The plant is indeterminate, with a height ranging from 100 to 240 cm. The appearance of the stems and leaves can be either pubescent or glabrous depending on the form of the species.
The fruits are very small, pea-sized, oval or round in shape, and yellow or orange in color. They possess an intense sweet-tart taste.
The species possesses natural adaptability to specific environmental conditions and is studied for resistance to diseases and pests, including whitefly. It is not used in commercial cultivation as a standard tomato.
