The Baren F1 eggplant variety is mentioned in scientific literature in the context of research on plant-pathogen interactions. Specifically, tests were conducted on the resistance of this hybrid to the root-knot nematode species Meloidogyne javanica.

The results of studies conducted under greenhouse conditions showed that Baren F1 eggplant has a severe degree of infestation by this pest. Other agronomic and morphological characteristics of this variety are not presented in the publications.
