Ciezana is a local variety adapted to the climatic conditions of the Murcia province. The variety is classified as a conservation variety and is included in the IMIDA germplasm bank collections to prevent its extinction.
The fruits of this variety are large, fleshy, have a rounded or ellipsoidal shape, and have dark, glossy skin. The variety is considered rustic and is intended for culinary use, cultivation in home gardens, and small farms.
